  2.                      YAM 2.1 - Installation notes
  3. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

  5. To minimize download time, YAM 2.1 is distributed in four different LhA
  6. archives which must be unpacked into the same directory before installation.
  7.  
  8. YAM21.lha        YAM 2.1 basic installation for 68020 processors or better,
  9.                  includes English manual
  10. YAM21cpu.lha     Executables optimized for 68040 and 68060 processors
  11. YAM21loc.lha     Foreign language support (catalogs and manuals)
  12. YAM21con.lha     Additional graphics, ARexx scripts, etc.

  14. YAM 1.3.x users
  15. ---------------
  16. Before you start the installation script, it's strongly recommended that
  17. you create a backup of the old YAM directory including all folders and
  18. configuration files. Now you should install YAM 2.1 into your old YAM
  19. directory. YAM 2.1 will automatically convert configuration files from
  20. YAM 1.3.x into the new format.

  23. What's new since YAM 2.0?

  26. - Fixed: Checkmarks in textstyle menu in write window were not
  27.   updated correctly
  28. - Fixed: When selecting a mail for reading which was already opened,
  29.   the read window was put to the front but was not activated
  30. - Fixed: <SMTP server>:<port number> didn't work and the port number
  31.   was removed after sending mail
  32. - Fixed: (Re)Loading a .config file didn't update the POP3 account
  33.   names in the 'config / TCP/IP' section (Bug #266)
  34. - Fixed: Alias/name completion: expansion to realname now only
  35.   happens if there's no matching alias (Bug #275)
  36. - Fixed: If a folder and a separator had the same name, moving
  37.   messages to the folder using filters didn't work (Bug #281)

  39.   didn't work for single files
  40. - Fixed: Incorrect export files were generated if exported messages
  41.   didn't end with a line break (Bug #243)
  42. - Fixed: Recipient name-completion changed case of the entered
  43.   address according to the recognized name to complete (Bug #274)
  44. - Fixed: Adding multiple attachments using drag&drop didn't work
  45. - Fixed: Drag&drop sorting of the folder list didn't allow to move
  46.   an folder to the end of the list
  47. - Fixed: When selecting a file starting with a dot for pack'n'add,
  48.   then the suggested name of the archive was blank
  49. - Fixed: The mailbox status appicon didn't appear on startup when the
  50.   incoming folder was empty
  51. - Fixed: Some binary attachments that contains only characters < 20h
  52.   weren't encoded at all
  53. - Fixed: YAM didn't read CustomField2 (filter settings) from the
  54.   .config file
  55. - Fixed: New temporary files couldn't be created after displaying a
  56.   corrupted MIME message
  57. - Fixed: When reading a message, YAM always asked for a password if
